Outlook 2016 - AOL Mail

  • Step 1:Initially, ensure that your computer (on which you’re using the Outlook app) is connected to a stable internet connection.
  • Step 2:Now, open the Outlook 2016 app.
  • Step 3:Click on the File menu available at the top-left corner of the app screen.
  • Step 4:Select Account Settings > Add Account.
  • Step 5:Choose the “Manual setup…” option in the Add Account dialog box.
  • Step 6:Click Next.
  • Step 7:Select POP or IMAP > Next.
  • Step 8:Enter your AOL Mail account’s User Information, Server Information, and Logon Information in the given fields.
  • Step 9:Click the More Settings button on the same screen.
  • Step 10:Go to the Outgoing Server tab.
  • Step 11:Enable the necessary outgoing server settings and click on the Advanced tab.
  • Step 12:Enter your account’s incoming and outgoing servers’ port numbers in the given fields.
  • Step 13:Click Next > Finish.
  • Step 14:Perform the on-screen instructions to complete the account configuration process.

Thunderbird- AOL Mail

  • Step 1:Open the Mail Account Setup screen on the Thunderbird app.
  • Step 2:Type your AOL Mail account’s name, email address, and password in the given fields.
  • Step 3:Click Continue > POP3 or IMAP > Manual Config.
  • Step 4:Type your account’s incoming server settings in the given fields and click Re-test.
  • Step 5:Set up your AOL account in Thunderbird by following the rest of the instructions displayed on the screen.
