eM Client  is a Windows-based desktop client that manages multiple email accounts under a single platform. If you wish to stop syncing eM Client, use the Offline Mode  feature. This feature in eM Client allows you to work with your contacts, emails, and calendars even when you are not connected to the Internet. However, this method cannot be used continuously.   • Step 1 : On your Windows computer, close all the running programs.
  • Step 2 : Launch the eM Client software by double-clicking its shortcut icon on the desktop.
  • Step 3 : Click the  Menu button at the top-left corner and select the  File tab.
  • Step 4 : Choose the  Work Offline option from the drop-down list to enable the Offline Mode .
  • Step 5 : Alternatively, you can completely avoid syncing by holding the  Ctrl key on your keyboard and clicking the eM Client shortcut icon on the desktop.
  • Step 6 : If prompted, click  Yes to launch the eM Client software in  Offline Mode .
  • Step 7 : If you still have problems with disabling synchronization on your eM Client, disable it at startup. To do so, launch the eM Client app and go to  Settings .
  • Step 8 : In the  Settings window, navigate to the left-side panel and expand the General tab.
  • Step 9 : Select the  General option from the drop-down list and go to the Synchronization section.
  • Step 10 : Deselect the Synchronize items at startup checkbox.
  • Step 11 : Also, deselect the  Synchronize items every X minutes checkbox.
  • Step 12 : Click  Apply ->   OK .
  • Step 13 : You have now stopped syncing your items during the eM Client startup.
