- Step 1: Launch the Settings application from your iPhone's home screen.
- Step 2: Select the Mail, Contacts, Calendars tab and select Add Account.
- Step 3: Touch the Add Account option again.
- Step 4: When the sync options appear, select the POP account.
- Step 5: Type your name and address in the appropriate fields.
- Step 6: Enter the Verizon.net email address in the correct field.
- Step 7: Type the identifier in the description field. Enter Verizon in the description field.
- Step 8: Enter the incoming mail server address as incoming.verizon.net.
- Step 9: Enter the email address in the Username field.
- Step 10: Type your email account password as well.
- Step 11: Type the outgoing mail server credentials. Enter the address as outgoing.verizon.net.
- Step 12: Enter the same Verizon email address and password as entered earlier for the incoming mail server.
- Step 13: Save the details and tap on the Accept button.
- Step 14: Now, go back to the home screen and tap on the Settings menu.
- Step 15: Select the Mail, Contacts, Calendars tab and select the SMTP heading.
- Step 16: Now, tap on the switch button next to Use SSL to change.
- Step 17: Enter the server port number as 465.
- Step 18: tap the Advanced section and then tap on the Use SSL switch to change option. Enter the server port number as 995.
- Step 19: Select the Delete from server option and select Never. Tap on the Done button.
- Step 20: Your Verizon email account will now be synced to your iPhone or iPad.
