Some users report that they’re not able to receive emails while using their iCloud accounts. The iCloud Mail Not Receiving Mails problem is not widespread and is being limited to a small number of iCloud users. If you have an iCloud account and are expecting an email from your loved one, we'd suggest you wait for a while and see if you get the email sometime later. If not, you can work with the steps described in this article to know how to fix the “iCloud not receiving emails” problem and make it fully functional.

The answer is simple. The problem could be because of the misconfiguration of the SMTP (outgoing mail) server. We believe that iCloud email is enabled in the device settings and it appears that the outgoing connection gets routed to the wrong place. Open the default browser on your computer.

  • Step 1: Enter the URL appleid.apple.com and press the Enter button.
  • Step 2: When the login page opens, you will have to sign in to your iCloud account with the iCloud credentials.
  • Step 3: Scroll to the Security section and then click the Generate Password… button.
  • Step 4: You have to type a name for the password and then click the Create button.
  • Step 5: A password will be sent or generated; please note down the password.

  • Step 7: Scroll down to the bottom and select the option + Add Account.
  • Step 8: Select the option Personal (IMAP) with the Gmail logo on the left.
  • Step 9: With the Gmail Logo, you will read the text "Add your email address."
  • Step 10: Type the iCloud email address in the field and tap the Next button.
  • Step 11: On the next screen, enter the app-generated password in the field and tap on the Next button.
