Troubleshoot iCloud Storage Full Error

Too much backup could also be a cause for the iCloud storage full error on your iPhone. To resolve this error, you have to clear some space on your device manually. To do so, follow the below-mentioned steps.

Solution 1: Reduce Your Backup Size

Step 1: On your iPhone, open the Settings app by touching the Settings icon on the home screen.

Step 2: Tap on your profile and select iCloud.

Step 3: Tap on Manage Storage and select the Backups option.

Step 4: Select your device name and navigate to the Choose Data to Back Up section.

Step 5: Toggle off the buttons beside the apps for which you wish to turn off the backup.

Step 6: Next, select Turn off and delete.

Solution 2: Manage Your iCloud Photo Library

Step 1: On your iPhone (iOS 10.3 and above), open the Settings app and tap on iCloud.
Step 2: Tap the iCloud Storage button and select Manage Storage.
Step 3: Tap on iCloud Photo Library and select Disable and Delete.
Step 4: If you are using iOS 1.2 or earlier versions, open the Settings app and tap the Storage button.
Step 5: Tap the Manage Storage button and select the iCloud Photo Library option.
Step 6: Select the Disable and Delete option to fix iCloud storage full error.

Solution 3: Reset Your iCloud Storage

Step 1: Open the Settings app first.
Step 2: Tap on your Apple ID available at the top of the Settings screen.
Step 3: Tap on iCloud and select Manage Storage underneath Storage.
Step 4: Tap the Backup button and select the backup data you wish to erase from your iPhone.
Step 5: Next, tap the Delete Backup button and select Turn Off & Delete.
Step 6: If you have created several backups, use the same procedure to delete them on your iPhone.

Solution 4: Delete iCloud Drive

Step 1: On your iPhone, open the Files app and select Browse.
Step 2: Go to the iCloud Drive and select all the files to delete.
Step 3: If you are using an older iOS version, you can directly open the iCloud Drive app.
Step 4: If you have already enabled iCloud Drive on your Mac, open the Finder window and delete iCloud Drive files.
Step 5: If it is not enabled, click the Apple menu and select the System Preferences option.
Step 6: In the System Preferences window, click on iCloud and select the iCloud Drive files to be deleted.
Step 7: This will clear some space on your iCloud storage.
Step 8: If necessary, you can also delete some unwanted photos and videos on your iPhone. This will help you to resolve iCloud storage full error.
