Solution 1: Set Outlook To Offline Mode

  • Step 1: On your Windows computer, launch the Outlook app by double-clicking its shortcut icon on the desktop.
  • Step 2: Click the Send/Receive tab in the toolbox and select the Work Offline option.
  • Step 3: If you have done this correctly, the status will change from Connected to Working Offline on the status bar.
  • Step 4: Now, open the emails in the Outbox folder again and send or delete the email message based on your wish.

Solution 2: Change DelegateSentItemStyle Value In Registry Editor

  • Step 1: If you have already set the DelegateSentItemStyle to 1 in the registry, the email messages you send from a shared mailbox will not be copied to your Sent Items folder.
  • Step 2: To change this value, close the Outlook app and launch the Run dialog box by press the Windows + R shortcut keys.
  • Step 3: Type ‘regedit’ in the text box and click OK or hit Enter to open the Registry Editor.
  • Step 4: Navigate to the following file path.
  • Step 5: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\\Outlook\Preferences
  • Step 6: Double-click the DelegateSentItemStyle entry and click Modify in the Edit menu.
  • Step 7: Change the DelegateSentItemStyle value from 1 to 0.
  • Step 8: Click OK and close the Registry Editor.
  • Step 9: Restart the Outlook app and open the Sent Items folder to choose the emails stuck previously.
  • Step 10: Send or delete the emails stuck in the Outbox.
  • Step 11: If the Outlook email stuck in shared mailbox problem remains unsolved, run the Microsoft Outlook app in Safe mode.
