Rackspace is an e-mail service that is fully secure and compatible with the Outlook email client. You can also access this e-mail from operating systems such as Windows, Mac, or Android. You can configure the Rackspace e-mail on your mobile, desktop, or laptop devices through the E-mail Help Tool or manually.
Using E-mail Help Tool:
- Step 1:Visit the official site of Rackspace to configure the e-mail settings using the E-mail Help Tool. In the Need Help window of Rackspace e-mail, you can enter your Hosted E-mail, Hosted Exchange, or Office 365 mailbox’s e-mail address for login.
- Step 2:Enter any one of the e-mail account credentials in the given fields and click the Login button.
- Step 3:Configure the e-mail account using the correct e-mail settings.
Manual configuration:
Configure the Rackspace email settings on the Outlook application:
The below steps are applicable for the Outlook 2010, 2013, and 2016 applications.
- Step 1:Open the Control Panel window on your Windows computer.
- Step 2:Locate and click the Mail option.
- Step 3:Now, the Mail Setup dialog box will appear on the screen.
- Step 4:Click the Show Profile… button.
- Step 5:In the Profile List page, click the Add button.
- Step 6:Enter the new profile name in the given field.
- Step 7:After entering it, click the OK button.
- Step 8:Now, the Add Account dialog box will open.
- Step 9:Select the Manual setup or additional server types option by clicking the radio button beside it.
- Step 10:Click the Next button.
- Step 11:Select the POP or IMAP option.
- Step 12:Now, provide the required information in the given fields.
- Step 13:Enter the e-mail recipient name you wish to see in the From field in the Your Name text area.
- Step 14:Select the IMAP option as the account type from the given drop-down menu.
- Step 15:After entering all information in the given fields, click More Settings.
- Step 16:On the Internet E-mail Settings dialog box, click the Advanced tab.
- Step 17:Enter the port numbers for IMAP and SMTP and click the OK button.
- Step 18:Click Test Account Settings on the POP3 and IMAP Account Settings dialog box.
- Step 19:Wait for the Test Account Settings status to display.
- Step 20:If both the Log onto incoming mail server (IMAP) and Send test e-mail message statuses are Completed, click the Close button on the Test Account Settings dialog box.
- Step 21:Now, go to the Profile List page.
- Step 22:Select the Always to use this profile option by clicking the radio button beside it.
- Step 23:From the drop-down menu, select the newly created profile and click the OK button.
- Step 24:Wait for the on-going process to complete.
- Step 25:Once it is completed, the Rackspace e-mail account will have been successfully configured in the Outlook application.
