How To Setup Sendgrid SMTP Settings?

SendGrid is a third-party email service provider that helps you to send email messages, and it is mostly being used by businesses. The below section covers the Sendgrid SMTP settings and how to configure it use with the Outlook 2016 mail.

Step 1: The SMTP server address of SendGrid is smtp.sendgrid.net.
Step 2: SMTP port is 587.
Step 3: Encryption: Not required. If you wish to use the encryption protocol, select the Use SSL option. Then, set the port number to 465.
Step 4: Username and password: SendGrid Username & SendGrid password.

Configure SendGrid on your Windows 10 computer

Step 1: On your Windows 10 computer, open the Control Panel application.

Step 2: Select the Mail application.

Step 3: Now, the Mail dialog box will appear on the screen.

Step 4: Click the Show Profile button followed by Add.

Step 5: In the Profile Name text field, type a name and click the OK button.

Step 6: Now, the Add Account dialog box will open.

Step 7: Select the POP or IMAP option by clicking the radio button beside it.

Step 8: Type the created profile name in the Your Name field.

Step 9: In the Email address field, type the SendGrid email address to implement Sendgrid SMTP settings.

Step 10: Select the IMAP or POP option from the Account Type drop-down menu.

Step 11: In the Incoming mail server text field, type imap.”email service provider”.com or pop.“email service provider”.com.

Step 12: In the Outgoing mail server text field, enter the smtp.sendgrid.net address.

Step 13: In the User Name and Password fields, type the SendGrid username & password in the given fields.

Step 14: Click More Settings > Outgoing Server.

Step 15: Enter the SendGrid email server’s username and password in the given fields.

Step 16: After that, click the Advanced tab.

Step 17: Enter the port number correctly in the given fields.

Step 18: After entering it, click the OK button, followed by Test Account Settings.
