Using a stable internet connection

Step 1:First, check the internet connection status on your computer (on which you’re using the Thunderbird application).
Step 2:You can check it by accessing a web page or something over a web browser.
Step 3:If the requested page or action responds successfully, the internet connection is stable.
Step 4:Otherwise, connect your computer to another connection that is stable and then check whether the Thunderbird application is able to receive new emails.

Configuring the IMAP and SMTP settings correctly

Step 1:Check and configure the account’s server settings correctly.
Step 2:To do so, open the Options menu on the Thunderbird application.
Step 3:Select Account Settings > Server Settings or Outgoing Server.
