Resolve Windows Live Mail Error Id 0x800ccc79

Solution-1: Check Outgoing Mail Server Settings

Step 1: If the Outgoing mail server information and authentication settings are incorrect, the error can occur.

Step 2: Launch the Windows Live Mail app and right-click your email account name from the left panel.

Step 3: Select Properties, and the window will appear.

Step 4: Click the Server tab and tick the checkbox of ‘My server requires authentication’ under Outgoing Mail Server.

Step 5: Next, click the Settings button, select Log on using, and type your email address & password.

Step 6: In the Advanced panel, check the Outgoing Mail server port number and security settings.

Step 7: Click OK to save the server settings and close the app.

Step 8: Re-launch the app then try to send the email again.

Solution-2: Clear The Outbox

Step 1: If an email is stuck in the Outbox, it does not allow the other sending emails to be delivered.
Step 2: In the Windows Mail Server main window, click File and select Work Offline to enable it.
Step 3: Now, the app goes into offline mode.
Step 4: Click the Outbox label from the left panel and look for the pending email.
Step 5: Right-click the email and select Delete.
Step 6: Once the email is deleted, return to the main window and select File > Work Offline to bring the app online.
Step 7: Close the app and restart it to check if the Windows Live Mail error Id 0x800ccc79 appears on the corner.
