YANDEX INCOMING MAIL SERVER

When you configure the Yandex mail account on your device, you need to know both the incoming and outgoing server settings to complete the setup. You can either use the IMAP or POP3 protocol for the incoming mail server. IMAP is the default server for the Yandex account. By following the procedures given in the upcoming sections, you can configure the Yandex Incoming Mail Server.

SERVER SETTINGS FOR YANDEX MAIL

Before you start to configure the Yandex mail account on an email client, you must know the incoming and outgoing mail server details. Just follow the below incoming and outgoing server settings to complete the Yandex mail configuration.

INCOMING MAIL SERVER DETAILS

IMAP SERVER SETTINGS

Step 1:IMAP server address: imap.yandex.com

Step 2:Port: 993

Step 3:TLS/SSL: Yes

Step 4:Username: your full Yandex email address

Step 5:Password: your Yandex account password

POP3 SERVER SETTINGS

Step 1:POP3 server address: pop.yandex.com
Step 2:Port: 995
Step 3:TLS/SSL: Yes
Step 4:Username: your full Yandex email address
Step 5:Password: your Yandex account password

OUTGOING MAIL SERVER DETAILS

SMTP SERVER SETTINGS

Step 1:SMTP server address: smtp.yandex.com
Step 2:Port: 465
Step 3:TLS/SSL: Yes
Step 4:Username: your full Yandex email address
Step 5:Password: your Yandex account password

CONFIGURE YANDEX MAIL IN OUTLOOK USING THE INCOMING MAIL SERVER

Step 1:First, launch the Outlook application on your computer.
Step 2:Next, click the File tab at the top-left corner of the window.

Step 3:Select the Info section from the left menu panel and click the Add Account button under Account information.
Step 4:Click Manual setup or additional server types in the Add Account window and click the Next button.

Step 5:Select the POP or IMAP option from the list and click Next.
Step 6:Under the User Information section, enter your name and email address into the respective fields.
Step 7:Next, go to the Server Information section, click on the Account Type field, and choose the option you want to use.
Step 8:Refer to the above server details and complete the Server Information settings.
Step 9:Under the Logon Information section, enter the user name and password into the respective fields.
Step 10:Click the More Settings button on the right side of the window.

Step 11:Select the Outgoing Server tab at the top of the dialog box.
Step 12:Here, make a tick mark in the “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication” checkbox and click “Use same settings as my incoming...” from the list.
Step 13:Click on the Advanced tab at the top of the window.
Step 14:Now, refer to the above server details to complete the incoming and outgoing port settings.
Step 15:Once you have completed all the settings, click the OK and Next buttons.
Step 16:In the Test Account Settings dialog box, click the Close button.
Step 17:Finally, click on the Finish button.
